Patrick J. Lamb of the Valorem Law Group spends more time than the average lawyer thinking about the operations of law firms. He is the author of the book Alternative Fees for Litigators and Their Clients. He has written and lectured about better ways to run a law firm and his blog is named In Search of Perfect Client Service.
I strongly urge my readers to read his post from last week "Valorem Law Group’s Why." It contains an extremely critical analysis of certain law firms that he says place their own interests above clients’ interests. His 14 point list of law firm attributes he dislikes will no doubt offend some. But this is great, thought-provoking material from someone with a lot of experience. Great law firms are about great client service.
